Experimenting with XInput

I've been testing out using the Wii U Pro Controller as 360 controller for the games that I have that support it on Windows. As shown in the XInput preview video, it's working with Skyrim and GTA IV. I've actually been playing Skyrim with it recently and all seems well including force feedback. Out of the handful of games I've tested so far, about half of them seem to be working. I already have a few thoughts on how to try and increase compatibility with other games but will take some experimenting with.

Perhaps I can release an early beta of WiinUSoft before too long. I've briefly mentioned WiinUSoft before but as a refresher and for those of you who don't know I'm planning to release two flavors of this program, WiinUPro and WiinUSoft. Both will still be free, but WiinUSoft will be for those who don't need the all the bells and whistles that WiinUPro will offer, instead it will simply map the controller to a joystick or xbox 360 controller with some customization, basically a lightweight version that will aim to be a simple run and ready to go.
